Say it with me, bokeh! I need a Peterson’s Guide for insects.
Wow! That is a weird-looking thing. I’ve paged through Kaufman’s Field Guide to Insects of North America, but I can’t find anything that looks like that.
I’m beginning to think this may be some sort of leafmining moth.
I feel better that you don’t know, either. This was flying around in Annapolis MD, don’t know if it was a stow away, a beat up thing looking really ragged, or what? I wish the lighting was better so I could have gotten a better depth of field, but I saw it in the early morning inside the house so you get what you get with no tripod. It’s got some nice cammo.
