let’s do the time warp again

Retailers used to have a timeline…Halloween first, Thanksgiving next, then Christmas. Now it’s all jumbled together. I think it lessens the experience of our holidays if we don’t separate them. I guess if you can get someone to buy a Christmas tree at the same time as a Halloween pumpkin, you are ahead of the game as a retailer. It’s funny, and depressing, all at once.

    Ugh–I’m with you. We were out shopping today, and *every* store was playing Christmas music. And it was 60 degrees and sunny outside! I’d like to fully enjoy fall before “celebrating” winter.

    The other side of the aisle had Thanksgiving stuff on it, I couldn’t get it into the picture.
