The Wagon Can Wait

Building on my success from last year I’m continuing my efforts to improve my health in 2012, except for this weekend. Yesterday I made some delicious pecans adapted from an Alton Brown recipe plus some tangerine dust I made. I have been craving crepes lately, and I wanted to combine these two to make something good for breakfast, thus this creation. Crepes sauteed in brown butter, topped with cinnamon and powdered sugar, spiced pecans and a splash of grade B maple syrup. I’m calling these “cinnamon roll crepes” or “the breakfast you don’t want to write in your food diary.”

I’ll get back on the wagon tomorrow, and I’ll put in a little extra on the treadmill today to make up for them, or not.
