I don’t know if the love-affair with flip flops is a southern thing, college campus thing, or what but I can’t seem to hop on that band wagon. If I did take that ride though, I would totally get the bedazzled ones.
There was a whole *flip-flop store* in the hotel where my conference was last week, featuring designer, interchangeable straps — I really didn’t get it. I tried to take a picture in there, but the proprietor caught me. I had to explain that I just take pictures of things (no commercial espionage here!) and showed her some of the other random shots I had on the camera, but, by then, I was totally off my game and couldn’t get a good shot. It’s a shame — they had a whole wall, row after row, full of flip-flop straps in different colors, patterns, and levels of bejeweledness.
A whole store? wow. I always get nervous pulling out my camera in stores (I don’t like taking pics of people, either). I have told myself that an iPhone would cure me of that, people seem accustomed to seeing people take pics with their phones.
